Our AML/CFT Compliance Requirements

SBLE UG GOLD follows all CFT regulations on anti-money laundering (AML) and responsible gold sourcing.

Valid Company & Licensing Documents

We require up-to-date company registration certificates, export permits, and trading licenses for every transaction, fully aligned with Ugandan and international regulations.

Identification of Beneficial Owners (UBO)

All counterparties must disclose their full ownership structure. We verify IDs, corporate records, and control declarations in line with AML/CFT and KYC procedures.

Source of Gold & Chain of Custody

We ensure traceability from mine to export. Gold must originate from licensed suppliers, with full supporting documentation and supplier declarations reviewed and recorded.

Assay Reports

Each gold batch is assayed at an approved Ugandan refinery. The official assay certificate is mandatory and required prior to payment and export.

Certificates of Non-Conflict Gold

We require signed declarations for every transaction confirming the gold is not sourced from conflict zones, following OECD Due Diligence Guidance and Uganda’s legal framework.

Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)

Additional layers of verification are conducted for high-risk clients, large volume trades, or politically exposed persons (PEPs), in line with global AML/CFT standards.

All funds are held in escrow by KAA Advocates, East Africa’s leading law firm. They provide independent legal supervision, enforce all compliance protocols, and ensure transparency from trade initiation to export.

At SBLE GOLD UGANDA, we ensure gold moves from mine to market through transparent, ethical, and lawfully structured transactions.

SBLE GOLD UGANDA LTD is a licensed gold exporter operating under Ugandan law, with full regulatory oversight and compliance managed by KAA Advocates, East Africa’s most respected legal firm.

We purchase gold directly in Uganda from licensed miners, aggregators, and agents, working exclusively with traceable, compliant supply. Gold is delivered to our approved refinery partners in Kampala, where it is assayed under legal supervision. Sellers are paid locally based on assay results, with funds released through an escrow-secured structure.

Once verified, gold is prepared for secure export to vetted international buyers under full documentation and regulatory compliance.

REFINING PROCESS

All gold handled by SBLE GOLD is tested and refined through approved Dubai refineries under a documented and transparent process:

We work only with refineries that accept third-party dore and maintain the highest industry standards for transparency and compliance.

Secure Delivery to Dubai (CIF Terms)

The gold is transported to Dubai under Cost, Insurance & Freight (CIF) terms, ensuring full coverage and tracking from origin to arrival..

Direct Transfer to Certified Refinery

Upon arrival, the gold is delivered straight to a DMCC-approved refinery (such as IPMR or Gulf Gold), maintaining a secure and documented chain of custody.

Initial Assay & Purity Verification

The refinery conducts an independent assay to verify the gold’s purity, which must be within a ±0.5% tolerance of the submitted origin report. This ensures accuracy and fairness for all parties.

Refining to 99.99% Standard (If Required)

If the gold is in dore form, it is then refined to the internationally recognized 99.99% purity standard, ready for market resale or investment-grade use.

Final Report Issued & Payment Released

Once the refining and testing are complete, a final refinery report is issued. Upon verification, payment is promptly released to the seller based on agreed commercial terms.
